Sorry for the delay in posting, we’ve had a busy week here welcoming a new family into our unit, preparing for our own move, and taking care of out little mess maker! I have been working diligently on some amazing sessions in the mix of all of that so be prepared for some gorgeous family portraits!
I had the pleasure of working with this cute BIG family and we had such a blast and it was such a challenge to make sure we captured all of the small connections and the big. But I think we succeeded in getting a ton of laughs and a ton of great memories to have for a lifetime! Stay tuned to see more of the littlest one here with her mom, dad, and big brother!
I have been wanting to explore lifestyle photography more and I had a great couple to work with on my last maternity session so when they welcomed me into their home, I worked hard to capture more of the beauty that is their love! Mini Mama Maternity!
I am so amazed at how sweet they are together and how quickly they relax and how many great shots I can get of them interacting and loving each other. Their little girl showed up early and I know they are going to rock as parents. I’m so thrilled for them and their little girl is so lucky to grow up in a household of love! Congrats again!
I love doing sessions in Mons because the backdrop is so pretty and the variety is so great so when we scheduled this little guys birthday shoot it was my first choice. When I was driving into the city though, 4-5 times a crossing guard stopped me so bikes could ride through… and a exhibition filled with bike ramps took over the Grand Place (town square) so a city that is normally empty on Sunday mornings proved quite a challenge for us on this family shoot.
With plenty of distracting bikers at every location, and some options completely blocked off, we worked trekked through the city in the heat and we even got a few smiles from this tough cookie. It’s so hard to believe he’s turning two already but the numbers don’t lie… 2 it is!
Happy Birthday, little lion!
Belgium is having a heatwave and there is no AC…………………………………………………
Mad props to this expecting mama and her family for trekking through the forest with me and still looking gorgeous for these family photos! This baby is coming into such a loving family and will have two amazing older brothers to show him how to have a good time, make a silly face, and act crazy and two amazing parents who are so in love and so playful.
Tomorrow, my family and I are leaving for Athens, Greece! I’m so very excited to take some much needed time off and chill with J and my husband and of course to see Athens! With our move coming up we’re trying to see as much as we possibly can and Greece has been a must-see for me since I was a kid. This duty station has, hands down, has been a whirlwind of adventure and I’m so sad our adventures in Europe are coming to an end but I’m so thankful we’ve gotten to see things that some people only dream about.
That said, we’ll be a little slower the next few days but I promise to keep the updates coming when I can!

I have baby fever but since we found out we’re going to Minot ND in October, we’re holding off just a touch so we don’t have a blizzard baby. Until then, I hope I get to do a lot more of these Fresh 48 Sessions because they are too fun!
I love that every time I open up my images I’m falling in love over and over again with them. This little man was so calm and didn’t get phased by a single click of the shutter. Mama and Papa were so in love with each other and baby. The session was just amazing.
I love taking families to the local parc in Jemappes because it’s a hidden (almost literally) gem in the local area. The entrance is hidden behind a Jupiler sign which leads everyone to believe it’s the entrance to a bar or restaurant–and it is!–but it’s also the entrance to a gorgeous parc! I’ve found out that Sundays are serious fishing days so I’ll have to find a new Sunday location to avoid all the red tape (literally) on our favorite locations.
This family, however, had an amazing time together at the parc despite the red tape and closed off bridge and pavillion! I felt more like a fly buzzing around their life rather than a photographer this time because this family just PLAYED! They were so wonderful together, I had a great time and got some gorgeous photos!
Our frequent flyer, E, is back. She’s always such a character and her parents are so sweet that I always love when it’s E’s turn in front of the camera even when she outright refuses (no is her favorite word) to pose for us! She did love getting to hang out with daddy this time and trying on his boots!
See more of E’s shoots here: St Patrick’s Day, Easter, & Mommy (and nana and papa) and Me!
Sometimes we make connections with people because we’re walking the same path. Though our husband’s work together, today’s mama and I didn’t make much of a connection until she shared that she was pregnant. She hadn’t known long while I was a few months along and we hit it off immediately. We were both so excited for our journeys into motherhood and we had a lot of the same dreams for our births and babies that it was so exciting to talk about everything. Mama is just about the sweetest person I know and Solo is just about the messiest baby I’ve ever met!
I was so excited when she asked me to do her son’s cake smash because he is definitely a MESS MAKER! Tomorrow I’ll share a few from his cake smash but today, it’s all about that family love!
While doing my mad dash to Easter, I got out one evening with a new family for their first family pictures in years. We met at the local parc and found out that only mom spoke English though the rest of the family was fluent in multiple other languages! We had a great time anyway exploring the parc and getting to know each other. The littles were so sweet together, often times playing in the sweetest way making it easy to capture some beautiful candid moments. The family was so in love with each other and so excited to get in front of the camera that my job was pretty easy this time around.
Thanks so much to this beautiful family for letting me document their love!
