Before We Make a Mess…

Sessions

Sometimes we make connections with people because we’re walking the same path. Though our husband’s work together, today’s mama and I didn’t make much of a connection until she shared that she was pregnant. She hadn’t known long while I was a few months along and we hit it off immediately. We were both so excited for our journeys into motherhood and we had a lot of the same dreams for our births and babies that it was so exciting to talk about everything. Mama is just about the sweetest person I know and Solo is just about the messiest baby I’ve ever met!

I was so excited when she asked me to do her son’s cake smash because he is definitely a MESS MAKER! Tomorrow I’ll share a few from his cake smash but today, it’s all about that family love!

Surrounded by Girls!

Sessions

I’ve really been enjoying black and white to showcase the more intimate candid moments shared by my families so for a nice little break, I thought I would share my favorite black and white images from my second session at the Château de Seneffe (check out my first session here).

Mommy so wanted for the rain to pour so these girls could run around in their rainboots and hide under their umbrellas and I love the moody rainy weather we get here in Belgium but because we wanted it, we didn’t get it! The sun was out on high for the entire session so I had to work with some pretty harsh light but I so love the connection between this family and how easily it came out!

Farewell, Future Family of Four

Sessions

This week has been crazy! Be prepared for a deluge as I finally catch up on my editing!

Meet our first family! Saturday, I drove out to Château de Seneffe to capture the beauty of one growing family before they move away from Belgium. The light wasn’t right to capture the 18th century Château but we did grab some beautiful moments with this adorable family.

It’s sad to have to say goodbye to such a beautiful family but say goodbye we must. So farewell to you and congratulations on your little one on the way. I wish you safe travels and an easy duty station!
