This Wild Child is turning THREE so that meant family pictures and as you’ll see next week a special session just for him!
We headed out to the local Château de Beloeil for these pictures and I selected a series of my favorite of little M playing with mom and dad because it so captured the beauty that is his energy and enthusiasm. He’s such a sweet little boy with more energy than anyone I ever met and he’s finally warmed up to me, he kept taking my hand to walk as we explored the grounds.
Working with wild families like this brings me so much joy. One of the things, I think, that sets me apart as photographer is that I come to the session with a lot of patience and care. When M runs away from me, I run after him! When he runs towards me, I get ready to snap one with his hair flying back and a huge grin on his face. That patience helps everyone stay calm and happy and shows in the portraits we end up with. It’s so important for everyone to find a photographer that’s willing to work with them and take the time to get to know your family and work with them. This is an intimate art, making memories, and you need the right person for your family to do it.
See more of this gorgeous family when they stopped by for Easter! Wild Child M does Easter
The last time we saw this wild child, he was celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with us! We ran around the park, threw rocks into the pond, and played our hearts out! My first few clients were friends, but M’s family became friends after their first session. They’ve invited the Mess Maker family into their homes for a giant Easter Eggstravaganza this weekend and when you’re an ocean away from family, all you want for the holidays are open arms and good food. Thank you so much to this wild family not only for coming out for photos but for opening their home to us in celebration of Easter!
Yesterday, I shared M’s Happy Day photos and today begins our Easter celebration! After a quick, Belgian wardrobe change, M began the second half of her photo shoot with renewed energy. She loved the sequin eggs and little flowers and of course, Daddy!
This was one dedicated daddy. As we prepared for the shoot, M’s mommy decided to make the entire day about her and these parents did not skip a beat. M is one treasured little girl and that’s a gift worth more than anything in the world.
The communal parc was gorgeous Saturday and the gorgeous pond was the perfect place to showcase the beauty and personality of Little M. Thank you so much for letting us celebrate with you!
This weekend, I got to work with a gorgeous little family in celebration not only of Easter (so more coming soon) but the big TWO for little M! The camera scared M a few times but that didn’t stop her from yelling Happy Day while we were playing in the park. She got us to sing Happy Birthday quite a few times and even got Daddy to sing Hot Dog for her!
The best part of photography, for me, is meeting families and seeing the way they love and interact with each other. Usually Mommy does the song and dance for laughs but this time Daddy didn’t hesitate to join in and go a step further! It was such a treat to spend time with this gorgeous little family.
I can’t wait to share my first Easter session with you guys next time, stay tuned for more photos of gorgeous little M!
It’s time to showcase Little M‘s older sister, Miss A, who performed incredibly once I brought out Mess Maker J’s favorite treat, chocolate chips! Sometimes you have to bribe a toddler and you know what? It’s worth it!
I think the chocolate was a great incentive to get Miss A to smile for me but I think it also helped her get a little more comfortable with me because who wouldn’t like someone giving them chocolate just for smiling?!
Here are the gorgeous photos I got of Miss A and one of the gorgeous girls together!
I also wanted to share this awesome tutorial from PHLearn about how to fix some issues in with the backgrounds should they, for example, be a horribly wrinkled sheet and you desperately need to fix them! This has definitely helped me yell at my computer less.
I’ve still got two sessions to share from my St. Patrick’s Day minis so stay tuned for more green goodness!
Little M, whose big sister will make a debut tomorrow, joined me in the studio for a laugh filled session. It was a huge treat for me to work with a baby again as Mess Maker J is officially a toddler and babies are just so cute. I love getting to see Little M around and I loved taking her picture even more!
Little M’s mommy got tons of gorgeous, gummy smiles which I have so missed in Mess Maker J (despite how cute his little teeth are!).
I’m sad that our St. Patrick’s Day photos are coming to an end, only three little models left! I’ve had such a great time working on this set and honing my craft and so thankful to the mommies and daddies who worked so hard getting their messes to smile, laugh, and pose!
Have a messy night!
Two in one day!
My wild one of the day, M, decided to go everywere and look at everything but me… most of the time. That’s okay, though, I snapped a couple great ones of his cute little face framed by some gorgeous, gorgeous hair.
I am enjoying learning from these crazy kids. Stay wild Mr. M! Thanks for letting me take your picture!
