A for Army Brat

This is probably the LAST set of pictures from this little girl before she moves away on her next big adventure.

I’m so sad to see this family go because A’s mommy is just awesome, A is so fun and so adorable, and A’s daddy? Well he’s a big softy for his little girl.

This session is the first from my military brat mini sessions and I think it perfectly captures the spirit of the military child.

Daddy and Us!

Father’s Day is coming up soon and today I debut my first mini for the season!┬áThis family was a ton of fun and a mixture of cultures as mom hails locally from Belgium and dad is Italian! He’s from Rome so we may run into him on our trip this July!

Although brother was a little apprehensive, sister was all in right away, and dad was a character! He got both of the littles laughing and engaged and he was pretty expressive himself! I had a great time shooting in the woods for this location and it looks like such a storybook location, I’m so in love with it!

Serious E & Co.

I always start these posts thinking, “I loved doing this shoot…but why?” The thing is, I love hanging out with Miss E and her mommy. We try to get out together and we usually make it 2-3 times a month to the same event. Right now it’s zoo season. And Mess Maker J is just now learning to play with other kids, so it was such a treat to go out and do some Mommy and Me photos for Miss E and her mommy! We were fortunate enough that Miss E’s grandparents were visiting┬áso we included them too! We all had a blast together! Even Mess Maker J who was a horrible assistant and ended the shoot by falling into a puddle!

Back to the Abbey, +1

The last time we visited Villers Abbey, I worked with the family that didn’t stop! I have to tell you, not many kids do stop… which makes my job fun!

This time we had a family of six (1 more than our last visit to the Abbey) full of littles who were 4, 3, 2, and 0 years of age! This mom and dad team were fantastic and the littles were so sweet. Big sister A knew everything (even things about me!) while the littler sister (keep up!) was very picky about getting her picture taken (though rest assured she did end up sitting pretty and posing for me at the very end). The brothers, N and R were very stoic though I got a few smirks from big brother N and laughs from baby brother R. Okay, now that I’ve confused you all, here are their portraits!

Playing in the Parc

While doing my mad dash to Easter, I got out one evening with a new family for their first family pictures in years. We met at the local parc and found out that only mom spoke English though the rest of the family was fluent in multiple other languages! We had a great time anyway exploring the parc and getting to know each other. The littles were so sweet together, often times playing in the sweetest way making it easy to capture some beautiful candid moments. The family was so in love with each other and so excited to get in front of the camera that my job was pretty easy this time around.

Thanks so much to this beautiful family for letting me document their love!

Another Mess Maker J turns ONE!

We had another little mess maker in the studio named J this week and boy did he deliver an epic mess!

I got to meet this little J’s family shortly after he was born through our local breastfeeding support group. His birth story was a bit crazy and so this celebration is even more exciting for his mama and papa!

It was exciting to bring little J into my home and let the boys play together as they have very similar, naughty personalities. The boys had a great time and then we took little J into the studio to destroy some very tasty cake. He did a great job at covering himself, the studio, and mama and papa in blue!

And as an added bonus, TODAY is little man’s birthday!

Happy Birthday little J!
