I had my last St. Patrick’s Day shoot and as sad as I am to tear the set down for the last time, I’m so excited about how much I’ve learned and how many gorgeous photos I got to share with everyone.
My last customer bedecked in green is fierce L. He takes time to warm up to anyone new and it’s been a while since we all got to hang out. He’s about 6 months older than Mess Maker J. and while Mess Maker J. loves trying to play with him, L is always hesitant. Unfortunately, we have a cold running through the house so the boys weren’t able to play but I was able to, after a few tears and and mommy cuddles, get some great photos of L laughing.
This little man sure loves his mama and giving the stink eye, but I think we captured some beautiful moments! Thank you for making a mess with us L!
It’s time to showcase Little M‘s older sister, Miss A, who performed incredibly once I brought out Mess Maker J’s favorite treat, chocolate chips! Sometimes you have to bribe a toddler and you know what? It’s worth it!
I think the chocolate was a great incentive to get Miss A to smile for me but I think it also helped her get a little more comfortable with me because who wouldn’t like someone giving them chocolate just for smiling?!
Here are the gorgeous photos I got of Miss A and one of the gorgeous girls together!
I also wanted to share this awesome tutorial from PHLearn about how to fix some issues in with the backgrounds should they, for example, be a horribly wrinkled sheet and you desperately need to fix them! This has definitely helped me yell at my computer less.
I’ve still got two sessions to share from my St. Patrick’s Day minis so stay tuned for more green goodness!
Little M, whose big sister will make a debut tomorrow, joined me in the studio for a laugh filled session. It was a huge treat for me to work with a baby again as Mess Maker J is officially a toddler and babies are just so cute. I love getting to see Little M around and I loved taking her picture even more!
Little M’s mommy got tons of gorgeous, gummy smiles which I have so missed in Mess Maker J (despite how cute his little teeth are!).
I’m sad that our St. Patrick’s Day photos are coming to an end, only three little models left! I’ve had such a great time working on this set and honing my craft and so thankful to the mommies and daddies who worked so hard getting their messes to smile, laugh, and pose!
Have a messy night!
Today marks the day of my very first paid client! I was very excited (read terrified) about today’s shoots. I welcomed three friends with their adorable children into my messy home to get some St. Patrick’s Day photos and despite the terror, I had a great time!
So without further ado, meet serious liittle E!
I loved catching this little girl playing. It took her a little while to warm up, but in the end, I got some great photos of this little girl!
With Mess Maker J., I started incorporating a confetti drop into my shoot because he loves it so much and I always get a bunch of great shots of him as the confetti rains down but Miss E wasn’t that thrilled especially once it touched her feet!
It was such a great learning experience for me to work with my first little girl! Thank you Miss E for coming over to make a mess with me!
Stay tuned for more phots from this weekend!
