“I am a princess. All girls are. Even if they live in tiny old attics. Even if they dress in rags, even if they aren’t pretty, or smart, or young. They’re still princesses.” ― Frances Hodgson Burnett, A Little Princess
We saw this mama the other day with her youngest baby in Back to Nature and today’s post features her oldest two–bedecked in their princess best! After our family session at the Abbey (Back to the Abbey, +1), these two wanted to work with me again (cause I’m fun!) but this time they wanted to make sure they got some photos alone with mama. So mama let them pick out their outfits and I brought J’s tea set out for this fun little session.
I got to take another family into the woods in the heat wave, this time with two big sisters to welcome a new little one! They loved reading and posing for the camera and mama was absolutely gorgeous!
The woods are my new favorite place to take pictures. I love the colors and the simplicity of it all.
Congrats and good luck to this little family as they prepare to welcome their new addition!
Belgium is having a heatwave and there is no AC…………………………………………………
Mad props to this expecting mama and her family for trekking through the forest with me and still looking gorgeous for these family photos! This baby is coming into such a loving family and will have two amazing older brothers to show him how to have a good time, make a silly face, and act crazy and two amazing parents who are so in love and so playful.
I can’t get enough of this little bird! I can’t believe she’s 5 months old already! She laughs soooo much! I got to cuddle her and J. at the same time and it was a task but was a FUN task! You can see more of our favorite Wren here: The last peep! & Little Wren Potter
Little Wren’s daddy is a professional photographer himself in a different arena and so I’m always curious to hear his thoughts on how the photos turned out of his little one. Hopefully he finds these ones satisfactory. How could he not, with those little baby smiles?!
I have baby fever but since we found out we’re going to Minot ND in October, we’re holding off just a touch so we don’t have a blizzard baby. Until then, I hope I get to do a lot more of these Fresh 48 Sessions because they are too fun!
I love that every time I open up my images I’m falling in love over and over again with them. This little man was so calm and didn’t get phased by a single click of the shutter. Mama and Papa were so in love with each other and baby. The session was just amazing.
I love taking families to the local parc in Jemappes because it’s a hidden (almost literally) gem in the local area. The entrance is hidden behind a Jupiler sign which leads everyone to believe it’s the entrance to a bar or restaurant–and it is!–but it’s also the entrance to a gorgeous parc! I’ve found out that Sundays are serious fishing days so I’ll have to find a new Sunday location to avoid all the red tape (literally) on our favorite locations.
This family, however, had an amazing time together at the parc despite the red tape and closed off bridge and pavillion! I felt more like a fly buzzing around their life rather than a photographer this time because this family just PLAYED! They were so wonderful together, I had a great time and got some gorgeous photos!
Last weekend, I got to work with a family new to Belgium and we had a fantastic time exploring the parc! As soon as dad put little N down he wanted to go, go, go! There is always so much to explore at the parc for little ones and N wanted to see it all! We had a great time exploring with this family and chasing N around! We even snagged a few portraits of him not escaping!
